Chia seeds are one of the few plants that has a complete amino acid profile. Complete amino acids are normally found in animal protein - which provide all the essential amino acids the body needs (and can't make itself). Which is why chia is great for those of us who are plant based.
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein in the body. Without amino acids we would not build protein and without protein we would not survive. A bit of a heavy start for a mousse recipe, but there you have it. Watch the reel here.
Ingredients (Makes 3 Ramekins)
- 1.5 c Coconut cream
- 1/3 c raw cacao powder
- 1/4 c Chia seeds
- 4 T SCB LUT
- 2T honey
Mix all ingredients together until combined
Set in the fridge for 2+ hours or overnight.
Top with your favourite granola or enjoy it as is!
